Unlike his first stay in Paris last spring, Mel Gibson’s last trip to France went (almost) unnoticed. As the magazine reports Closer, in its February 11, 2022 edition, the American star recently spent a week in Paris. The 66-year-old actor settled down in one of the suites at the Plaza Athénée, avenue Montaigne, not to play the tourist, but to take care of a health problem.
The magazine claims that Mel Gibson underwent surgery at the Victor Hugo clinic, an establishment in the 16th arrondissement specializing in hand surgery. The movie star Mad Max, Lethal Weapon and Braveheart got two fingers straightened. always according to Closerthe actor was not alone since he was accompanied by a “very pretty young french woman“… Alone or in pairs, Mel Gibson has since returned to the United States. On Thursday, February 10, he also enjoyed a sunny trip to Malibu with his daughter Lucia (12), born of his previous relationship with Oksana Grigorieva (see slideshow).
As a reminder, the star is at the head of a large tribe composed of nine children. First there is Hannah, Edward, Christian, William, Louis, Milo and Thomas, born of his first marriage to Robyn Moore, which ended in 2007. Then Lucia, and finally Lars (5 years old), whom he shares with rider and screenwriter Rosalind Ross. His romantic relationship with the latter could therefore have ended discreetly, if we are to believe the information of Closer on his recent trip to Paris, with another young woman.
In addition to a busy family life, Mel Gibson continues filming. He is expected in no less than six upcoming films, including the thriller On The Line by Frenchman Romuald Boulanger, several scenes of which were shot in Paris in the spring of 2021, with Mel Gibson. Last November, the actor also announced the preparation of Lethal Weapon 5which he will do himself.
