Meghan Markle mom: “I have to improve”, this planned change in the education of Lilibet and Archie

For his new episode of the podcast ArchetypesMeghan Markle chose to receive two entrepreneurs, Victoria Jackson, make-up expert, and Mellody Hobson, second main shareholder of Starbucks, also known to be the wife of the father of Star Wars, George Lucas. During this interview, Prince Harry’s wife confided in the education of her children, Archie (3 years old) and Lilibet (1 year old), with whom she lives in Los Angeles, far from the pressure of the British “Firm” at Buckingham Palace.

Reacting to the confidences of Mellody Hobson who grew up in a modest environment and who had to show autonomy from an early age – she went to the dentist alone and paid for consultations herself when she was a child -, Meghan Markle has showed how inspiring she found her guest’s words, reviewing how she raises her own children: “I have to rethink my way of education! So, for her offspring to gain the same strength as the powerful businesswoman, the Duchess of Sussex added:If that’s what forged you, I really need to improve by making my children independent. (…) If we look at the way you were raised, even if it was done by default when you were 11, 12, or whatever your age, you found a way to get what you needed.”

Be an independent and strong person

Meghan Markle is inspired by Mellody Hobson but she can find ways in her own story to pass on strength to her children. Indeed, the one who rose to fame as an actress had to go through small roles that were not necessarily very good before getting big ones. She also forged her character in the face of a family that one can dare describe as dysfunctional. For example, his ties with his father Thomas Markle and former cinematographer for television series, are conflicting to say the least. Little loved by the British media since her marriage to Prince Harry and the estrangement with the royal family that this caused, Meghan Markle assumes to be a strong and feminist woman.
