Meghan Markle in the Netherlands: she offers her coat for more than 3,700 euros to a mother in distress

Meghan Markle’s first official appearance in Europe since her sensational departure from England two and a half years ago was highly anticipated. It occurred on Friday April 15, 2022 in The Hague. The Duchess of Sussex was there to support her husband Prince Harry on the eve of the launch of the fifth edition of the Invictus Games, an international sports competition reserved for soldiers, current or former, with disabilities that he created. This great event takes place from April 16 to 22.

At the reception organized on Friday evening, Meghan Markle caused a sensation in a luxurious white Valentino ensemble at more than 3,800 euros consisting of a jacket and pants. Quickly, the comparison was made with the white look that Kate Middleton wore last month during her official Caribbean tour with her husband Prince William. Unlike the Duchess of Cambrigde, Meghan Markle did not appear to have a top underneath her jacket worn next to the skin.

The 40-year-old American had also planned a long Ralph Lauren camel coat that she didn’t wear in the end but had done well to take with her since it was used by another mother. As reported by DailyMail, a navy veteran, Fenna Guegjes, was accompanied by his wife, Bertine Schuurhuis, and their baby. The latter had not expected that the evening would be so cold and had nothing to cover her child and warm him. It was without counting on the kindness and generosity of Meghan Markle.

Archie’s mom (who will turn 3 on May 6) and Lilibet (10 months) hastened to lend her long coat to the mom in distress. A generous gesture captured in photos (see the slideshow) and which allowed the baby to stay warm.

For her big return to Europe, Meghan Markle was acclaimed by the public present. A welcome that could only do good for the Duchess of Sussex who continues to be decried in England, just like Prince Harry. The couple, accompanied by cameras in The Hague for their big Netflix project, visited Elizabeth II and Prince Charles at Windsor Castle, before heading to the Netherlands. A meeting organized in the greatest secrecy…
