The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle paid tribute to her friend Oli, who died last January, in a letter posted on Twitter. The latter, a canine behaviorist, had notably been a key player in the young woman’s commitment to the animal cause when she was performing her duties as a representative of the royal family.
Indeed, Meghan Markle had approached the animal rights association Mayhew through this famous Oli and his companion Rob. “We shared a commitment to animal welfare and a deep love for shelter dogs. Oli and her fiancé Rob helped look after my dog Guy, when I had just moved to the UK and he was recovering from an accident“, remembered the ex-actress who left England for California 2 years ago now.On January 15, 2022, my beloved friend Oli tragically and suddenly left us. It has left me and so many others heartbroken and sobering about the legacy he left for our furry friends, which is beautifully simple: just love them.“, wrote the Duchess in her letter.
