A noticeable absence. This Saturday, May 6, 2023, the coronation ceremony of King Charles III took place at Westminster Abbey. An event to which Prince Harry went solo… or not. Indeed, a rumor unleashes passions. According to some Internet users, Meghan Markle was indeed among the crowd of 2,200 guests, but under another identity. It is under a white wig, behind a huge pair of vintage glasses as well as a false mustache, that the mother of Archie and Lilibet would have hidden to attend the celebration. A disguise that did not go unnoticed. “Meghan, you’re not fooling us”, even wrote a fan of the Windsor clan on Twitter. And another joking: “Just wait for the polyjuice potion to wear off”in reference to the famous saga Harry Potter.
Of course, it was not a camouflage, but a real person. The man in question was none other than Sir Karl Jenkins, legendary composer whose work was played during the ceremony, reports our colleagues from New York Post. Proud to be on the guest list, he said to himself “honored” on the airwaves of the BBC. “That obviously sums up Welsh culture – the harp – and it [le roi Charles III] has always supported Welsh music”he confided.
