Megaproject in Saudi Arabia: a Quebec company required for its advice

AtkinsRéalis (formerly SNC-Lavalin) will participate in the design of the world’s largest modern city center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, sharing its expertise.

The Quebec company was appointed by the New Murabba Development Company (NMDC) to support the design of the New Murabba project, a gigantic urban project in Saudi Arabia.

Concretely, AtkinsRéalis “will provide world-class consulting, architecture, master plan design and engineering services to realize this revolutionary project, the cornerstone of the visionary reinvention of the capital of the Kingdom”, we can read in a statement

However, the amount of this contract has not been revealed.

Located northwest of the city of Riyadh, this pharaonic cube 400 meters high, 400 meters wide and 400 meters long intends to house housing, hotel rooms, offices, but also a university, a cinema , a theater, a concert hall, shops, restaurants and many other collective and leisure spaces.
