Meeting | A princess ambassador for Nelly De Vuyst products

It’s not every day that you meet a princess in Montreal. Belgian princess Isabella Orsini de Ligne was passing through the metropolis, because she is the new ambassador of the local skincare brand Nelly De Vuyst.

It is at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Montreal that we meet the Italian actress who became a Belgian princess by marrying Prince Édouard de Ligne-La Trémoille in 2009. In the Ritz lounge, the atmosphere is relaxed. Very warm and colorful, Isabella Orsini de Ligne says that she is the first commoner in the family, for a thousand years. “I’m happy to be able to provide some balance. I remained who I am, a direct woman with principles who says what she thinks,” she says. Model and actress, she studied law in Italy, but never practiced. “The job of a lawyer was not for me,” confides the woman who is also the goddaughter of Silvio Berlusconi, former president of the Italian Council of Ministers, who died in 2023. “He was a friend of my father,” she explains.

The princess became an ambassador for Nelly De Vuyst products, a high-end skin care brand made in Montreal, distributed in spas around the world and which can also be purchased online. “I came across these products because it was initially a Belgian brand, and I immediately loved all the skin creams made with natural, organic and certified ingredients. It’s fundamental for me, in addition to being effective and ecological,” she confides.

For Manon Pilon, president of Derme & CO and the Nelly De Vuyst laboratories, this meeting with the princess was a revelation. “When she told me she wanted to be our ambassador, I couldn’t have hoped for a better way to promote the brand,” she says.

“Many people try all kinds of natural and organic creams, but you should know that all our products are made in Montreal where the plants are extracted, in a factory certified by Health Canada. It is important to specify this, because everything is controlled in a very strict and rigorous manner, we must follow the protocols and we have the COSMOS 100% natural product certification, which guarantees a product that respects the environment,” explains Manon. Pestle.

What is the daily life of a princess like? “I live in Rome and Belgium with my husband and our three children in the Antoing castle which dates from the 12the century, a neo-Gothic style castle, and the atmosphere is special, there are ghosts, she says with a laugh. My daily life is that of a mother of three children. There’s school, homework, we play sports, we love nature… everything that’s normal. »
