A large part of the Mediterranean basin is currently facing an exceptional heat wave. The Mediterranean Sea is thus considered one of the “hot spots” climate change caused by human activities, which generate greenhouse gas emissions from the combustion of oil, coal and gas.

“We took 5°C in one month, it’s simply amazing”was alarmed Thibault Guinaldo, of the National Center for Meteorological Research (CNRM).
