This was the third time that Lambert was nominated for this award. His novels “You will love what you have killed” and “Querelle de Roberval” were respectively finalist and first selection.

On October 31, the 31-year-old author became the youngest writer to win the December Prize in France. This award, described as “the anti-Goncourt”, comes with a grant of 15,000 euros (nearly $22,100).

“Let our joy remain” was also in the first selection for the prestigious Goncourt Prize, but it was not selected for the second selection.
