The installation of liberal dentists will now be regulated. The main unions have just concluded an agreement with the Health Insurance. The objective is to promote the installation of young graduates in medical deserts.

Waiting for a dentist colleague to leave to put his plate, a new rule which will soon apply to Levallois-Perret, in the Paris region, as in a hundred other municipalities. The liberal dental surgeons accepted for the first time a constraint with the installation. The principle : an arrival for a departure in areas where they are already numerous. “Somewhere, it’s a penknife in the freedom of installation but you also have to know the problems of access to care in France, it’s important”says Dr. Marie Tourterel, vice-president of the union of dental surgeons in France (CDF).

Constraints in 16 of the 20 Parisian arrondissements

Installation constraints will apply in 16 of the 20 Parisian arrondissements. Same thing in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) where six districts are concerned according to a map which can still be modified. In the Alpes-Maritimes, the density of dentists is one of the highest in the area. A mother wants this to extend to other professions.
