Update
While the Haute Autorité de Santé recommends vaccination for those over 40 in the face of the fifth wave, the wearing of masks and checks are increasing across France.
Wearing a compulsory mask is making a comeback in certain towns in France, such as Le Touquet (Pas-de-Calais), where Brigitte Macron spends the weekend of November 20. For some, the return of the wearing of the mask is a good thing, for others, the arrival of the cold and the humidity encourages them to wear it less. On the side of the Ardèche, where the incidence rate is one of the highest in France, it is the checks of health passes in catering establishments which are multiplying.
In the suburbs of Toulouse, in Haute-Garonne, vaccinations are linked, whether it is a first, a second or a third dose of the vaccine. Some seniors, worried about vaccination, even wonder if a fourth dose of vaccine will not be necessary later, as Martine Boyer, nurse tells us. According to Dr Philippe Amouyel, a doctor from the Lille University Hospital (North), “Austria and Germany have much less stringent barrier measures“than in France, which could cause a smaller wave in France.
