It’s now official: Conor McGregor will make his return to the octagon against American Michael Chandler on June 29 in Las Vegas.
On Saturday, the Irishman announced that he would reveal the date of his return and the identity of his opponent on New Year’s Day. However, it was in a video published on December 31 on all official.
McGregor and Chandler will fight at 185 pounds.
Ironically, the last fighter the two pugilists faced was Dustin Poirier.
McGregor has been on the sidelines since suffering a horrific leg fracture against Poirier on January 23, 2021.
Chander lost by submission in the third round to Poirier in the final of UFC 281, on November 12, 2022.
