McGill University ranks among the best universities in the world, according to a ranking that was released Monday.

The English-speaking establishment located in downtown Montreal occupies 26e place in the annual Global 2000 ranking, produced by the Center for World University Rankings, with a score of 87.2%.
It is the only Quebec university to appear in the top 100 of this ranking, which evaluates more than 20,000 universities in 95 countries around the world.
The University of Toronto occupies the 23e position, with 87.7%. University of British Columbia arrives in 51e position, with 84.6%, while the University of Alberta ranks 76e rank, with 83%.
Harvard University in Boston tops this ranking, which is dominated by American institutions.
This ranking is based on four indicators: the quality of education, which is measured by the graduation rate and the academic distinctions received by students, the employment rate of graduates, as well as the quality of the teaching staff and the performance of research.
