The Parisians did not come far from seeing the rest of their journey in the Champions League seriously compromised. PSG saved a point against Newcastle, Tuesday November 28, 2023 (1-1), at the end of a match during which the Rouge et Bleu showed a lot of inaccuracy and a glaring lack of efficiency. They still keep their destiny in their hands.

Gianluigi Donnarumma: 3/10

The Italian goalkeeper didn’t have many stops to make, and missed Newcastle’s goal: he had to catch Almiron’s shot or at least not push it back onto Alexander Isak, the scorer. His kicking game can still be improved and he put Hakimi in difficulty on a bad pass (12e), which led to an English opportunity. Warned for protest (72e).

Achraf Hakimi: 4/10

The Moroccan took his lane well and tried to combine with Dembélé at the start of the match, but he was then placed further down on the defensive line, which impoverished his contribution up front. He lacks aggression on Livramento, a decisive passer for the Magpies. More offensive again in the second part of the second half, he tried to create gaps and made a good cross (91e) poorly taken up by Barcola.

Milan Skriniar: 3/10

Aligned with Danilo in a not really successful hinge. The two players had played 4 matches in this configuration before this meeting, conceding 5 goals, and did not display great serenity together. The Slovak is also one of the players involved in Isak’s goal, with a lack of aggression on the passer Livramento. Passed by Gordon, he was also warned in the 60the minute.

Danilo Pereira: 3/10

The Portuguese was more present than Skriniar in the duels, but he did not necessarily help his team with passes that could have broken lines. Author of a bad raise (42e), he was replaced by Gonçalo Ramos (85e).

Lucas Hernandez: 3/10

Luis Enrique surprised by starting him at left-back, and the Frenchman did not show himself to his advantage. He gave the impression of not having entered his match during the first fifteen minutes, being manhandled in the duels. He also experienced a lot of waste in the ball release and only showed some offensive flashes at the end of the match.

Fabian Ruiz: 3/10

The Spaniard tried a lot, often shooting long shots when his team couldn’t find solutions, but he regularly lacked power and precision. He alternated positions in the middle but made no difference to break the English barrier.

Manuel Ugarte: 3/10

The Uruguayan midfielder showed his limits with the ball against a well grouped block. He rushes to a very distant reprise which goes into the clouds (28e) and is warned for a foul on Almiron (36e). Replaced by Vitinha (62e).

Kang-In Lee: 4/10

A double face for the South Korean. Long in difficulty, with many inaccuracies, he also slowed down a counterattack (41e) and is warned for jersey pulling (54e). But in the process, after the hour mark, placed back on the right, he found more solutions, with interesting passes which led to chances. Replaced by Marco Asensio (82e).

Ousmane Dembélé: 3/10

He combined very well with Hakimi at the start of the match but found himself alone when the Moroccan was less offensive. The French winger shot a lot (6 attempts), but was not good at finishing, like when he missed the target while he was three meters from the goal at the end of the match (82e). He also lost a lot of balls due to a significant technical waste and was warned for a moody gesture (58e).

Randal Kolo Muani: 4/10

His teammates struggled to find him in the first half, but he was often involved in dangerous actions with his deflections. He did not hesitate to participate in the pressing. Replaced by Bradley Barcola (62e), who had five clear chances which he did not take advantage of.

Kylian Mbappé: 4.5/10

His composure to hit a penalty out of reach of Nick Pope allowed PSG to secure a saving point. But before that, Kylian Mbappé did not achieve much (5 duels won out of 12). His frustration showed in his play and attitude. This changed for the better when he was placed back in the center after the exit of Kolo Muani. He weighed more on the game and created a double opportunity with a shot repelled by Pope then another miss on target (87e).
