(Pittsburgh) Veteran Albert Pujols slammed his 696e career long pitch on Saturday night to tie Alex Rodriguez for fourth in Major League Baseball history.

The 42-year-old Pujols homered in the sixth inning of a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Pujols is now trailed only by Barry Bonds (762), Hank Aaron (755) and Babe Ruth (714) in home runs in Majors history.
Pujols has yet to play 22 games in his 22e and final season in the big leagues.
With the Cardinals trailing 3-1, Pujols hit the first pitch of his presence against JT Brubaker in the left field bleachers at PNC Park.
