Quebec recorded four new deaths linked to COVID-19 and reported a drop in hospitalizations on Monday.
There are currently 1,910 hospitalizations, a decrease of 16 compared to Sunday. Sixty-six people remain in intensive care, the same number as reported on Sunday.
A total of 6,357 health care workers are absent for reasons related to COVID-19, such as preventive withdrawal or isolation.
The death toll now stands at 15,143.
The Ministry of Health reports 622 new cases on Monday, for a total of 1,052,637 since the start of the pandemic. However, the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.
A total of 205,281 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the government platform, including 168,046 positives. For the day on Sunday, 255 tests were declared, including 208 positive.
According to the Ministry of Health, 10,032 analyzes were carried out on Sunday and the positivity rate is 7.6%.
As for vaccination, 7586 doses were administered in the last 24 hours in Quebec.
Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 54% received a third dose and 11% obtained a fourth dose. The fourth dose was given to 36% of those aged 60 and over.
