May 8 Game Challenge (Fabien, from the Creek to the games in Sens)

Lead your miniature camp to victory in this thrilling game of strategy and confrontation!

Memoir 44

Memoir 44, board game, invites you to discover about fifteen famous battles of the Second World War. Take command of your troops and rewrite the pages of history from those decisive days of 1944!

Simulating battles between allies and Axis forces, the game is only played by 2 (possibly as a team) and consists of a series of moves and/or confrontations that will lead to victory.

Simple in its mechanics, but not simplistic in its tactical depth, Memoir ’44 is an accessible game for discovering the magic and playfulness of strategy games such as wargames.

Memoir 44

Memoir 44 benefits from high quality material, figurines, landscape elements etc., which makes the simulation striking and captivating.

The object of the game is to be the first general to earn a certain number of Victory Medals (usually 4-6, depending on the scenario). A Victory Medal is obtained for each enemy unit completely eliminated. In some scenarios, additional medals can be earned by capturing specific objectives.

At each turn, the players play a card which activates a unit present on the board. Each troop has its own movement capacity and attack strength. Movement, attacks, retreat etc, all the actions must respect constraints which make the game quite tactical and strategic without the difficulty making it too complex.

The fights are resolved with dice which implies a share of luck and audacity. Memoir ’44 games are short and rarely exceed 1 hour.
