Maxime Médard Toulouse sponsor of the 2023 Rugby World Cup: “It’s going to be exceptional”

The 2023 Rugby World Cup is fast approaching: it will start on September 8, and Toulouse will host 5 matches at the Stadium. And to “raise the sauce” the World Cup train stops at Matabiau station for two days. To talk about it, Maxime Medard, former Stade Toulousain player recently retired,
sponsor of the competition in Toulouse, was the guest of France Bleu Occitanie this Monday, October 31, 2022.

“It’s to make this event shine, so you have to prepare it in advance and remember that it’s going to be exceptional!” explains Maxime Medard. We have already started the clock (on the Jean Jaurès alleys, editor’s note) one year from the event. From there to say that the Toulousains are already at the bottom? “It’s starting to go up but it’s true that there is the championship and it may seem far away… It’s going to go up crescendo.”

“There will be beautiful posters” in 2023 in Toulouse

Maxime Médard concedes that it is “a bit of a pity” to have no match for the French team at the Stadium among the five group matches scheduled. “There will still be beautiful posters” (including a New Zealand match on Friday 15 September against Namibia), and then France plays a friendly against Japan in Toulouse,
Sunday, November 20 at 2 p.m.

Maxime Médard remembers the 2007 World Cup – a year before his first selection in Blue – as“an incredible moment”. He is looking forward to France’s first test match, against Australia this Saturday, November 5, at 9 p.m., and is delighted with the selection of Dimitri Delibes, recently called to Marcoussis, with Cyril Baille.
As for his future, Maxime Médard tells us that he will “maybe stay in rugby” ; that in the meantime he has several companies and that he is preparing a triathlon.
