This Thursday, May 11, 2023 took place the second semi-final of Eurovision. From Albania to Cyprus via Estonia, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania and even Poland, the candidates were numerous to follow one another on the stage of the Arena in Liverpool (United Kingdom). Of the 16 participants, 10 won their ticket to the grand finale. In total, they will be 26 to compete this Saturday, May 13. Among the selected artists, the representative of Cyprus, Andrew Lambrou, is one of the great favorites of the competition. The young man seems to have cracked viewers with his performance “on fire” and his song “Break a Broken Heart”. On social networks, even Julien Bellver, emblematic columnist of Daily, was charmed. In any case, this is what his latest publication suggests.
“Even without the sound, he has my vote”, he wrote on his Twitter account while sharing an excerpt from the passage of the artist. Australian by birth, Andrew Lambrou was chosen to represent Cyprus at Eurovision. The artist has always maintained a very special link with the country. “[Visiter Chypre] was one of the most incredible moments of my life. I’m not saying this just for you. It was an extremely moving day. Understand my roots and understand where my family comes from after hearing so many stories for 24 years of my life from my grandparents and uncles”he confided in an interview for wiwiblogs.

I could see the resemblance to the people back home, I remember setting foot in Kathikas, which was the first village I went to and I just started crying I don’t know why I started crying It was so incredibly special So I have this amazing energy with me that I have brought from there and for which I am extremely grateful.
