He has been “rather” successful since the start of this weekend at Spielberg. Already winner of the sprint race on Saturday, Max Verstappen also took pole position for this Austrian Grand Prix during qualifying on the same day. The Dutchman from Red Bull will therefore start in first place for the 8th time of the season, out of eleven possible, on Sunday June 30. He will be accompanied on the front line by Lando Norris (McLaren, at 404 thousandths), both followed very closely by the Mercedes of George Russell, 3rd at 526 thousandths.

For the Alpine cars, it will be necessary to hang on to gain the points: Esteban Ocon will start his car from 10th position, ahead of his teammate Pierre Gasly, 13th. Disappointment also for the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, only 6th, the Monegasque having made an error in his last attempt.
