Leave only crumbs for your opponents. Already crowned world champion at the beginning of October, Red Bull team driver Max Verstappen has not given up any slack. The Dutchman perfectly mastered the 28th qualifying session (with sprints) of the season in Abu Dhabi, Saturday November 25. He will start on Sunday in pole position for the 12th time of the season, the 32nd of his career. A good habit for him, since since 2020, Verstappen has always won pole position on the United Arab Emirates circuit. During this race, he could score a 19th success in 23 GPs this season.
Behind him, Charles Leclerc finished 2nd and will accompany him on the front row, like the previous week. The Monegasque continues his momentum, having been on the podium twice in the last three GPs. Oscar Piastri (McLaren) finished third in qualifying. At Alpine, French drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon finished 10th and 12th respectively. The disappointment of the day was Carlos Sainz, who was eliminated in Q1. A small earthquake for the one who went 83 races without elimination in Q1.
