Max Verstappen, whose contract was due to expire at the end of 2023, “has signed a long-term contract extension that will keep the 24-year-old Dutch driver with the Oracle Red Bull Racing team, exclusively, until the end of 2028“, Red Bull said in a statement.
In reaction to his extension, the Dutchman mentioned “an easy decision” as well as its objective of “keep number one on the car long term“. For Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner, “the immediate goal is to retain Max’s world championship title, but this deal also shows that he is part of the team’s long-term strategy.“
