Max Nublat, the former mayor of Montargis and Chalette-sur-Loing died

A face of Loiret politics has died out. Max Nublat died at the age of 91. The communist was mayor of Chalette-sur-Loing from 1971 to 1977. He then won the municipal elections in Montargis where he was mayor for twelve years: from 1977 to 1983 then during a second term from 1989 to 1977. Max Nublat was then general councilor for Loiret, notably from 1998 to 2004. In Montargis as in Chalette-sur-Loing, a book of condolences will be available this Monday, September 19.
