Mawouo, an interactive neonatal incubator “made in Cameroon”

This equipment intended for premature children was invented by the University Agency for Innovation.

In Cameroon, the University Agency for Innovation (AUI), a hub for the promotion of scientific, technological and entrepreneurial projects serving Africa, in 2018 designed Mawouo, an interactive neonatal incubator.

Since its launch, this incubator has won several awards. The first, the Head of State’s Special Prize for Innovation, was received in Cameroon in 2018. Two others followed: one in France, the AFD Digital Challenge Initiative Prize, and the other in South Africa, the Orange Social Entrepreneur Award for Africa and the Middle East.
