(Clova) Two men died after their rowboat sank in a lake in the hamlet of Clova, in Mauricie, on Friday.
Three people and a dead moose were in the boat when it sank for an as yet undetermined reason, indicates Marc Tessier, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The SQ was alerted around 4 a.m. Friday.
The bodies of the two men, aged 76 and 69, were found by divers around 5:30 p.m. the same day. The third person managed to return to shore.
A coroner’s inquest has been launched to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the event.
