(Yamachiche) A tugboat in his thirties was seriously injured when the vehicle he was driving made a violent exit from the road on Sunday afternoon on Highway 40 near Yamachiche, in the Mauricie region.
The emergency services were called around 3:30 p.m. to go to kilometer 181 of Highway 40 westbound, reported the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
“According to the information received, the driver of the tow truck would have, for a reason unknown at the moment, left the roadway, crossed the right shoulder to then hit trees,” said Sergeant Louis-Philippe Bibeau, a porter. word of the SQ.
Under the force of the impact, the driver was “seriously injured” and taken to hospital in “critical” condition.
