She marked a whole generation. Maureen Dor managed to make a name for herself thanks to her career on French television which began in the 1990s. At the time, she landed a job as a columnist for the show Nowhere else on Canal+ before being engaged on France 2 to animate Chalu Maureen with Charly and Lulu. From 2000 to 2014, she was then a regular columnist for Laurent Ruquier’s shows: We tried everything on France 2 and We’re going to get embarrassed on Europe 1.
Maureen Dor then decided to quit everything to devote herself to her passion for books, creating her own publishing house in 2011. “I had turned 40 a few months earlier and aspired to be my own boss. As I had been telling stories to my children in the evening for years, I told myself that I would write them, and even have the choice of illustrators“, she had explained during an interview for Gala.
It is therefore far from the TV sets that she has found her balance. A balance that she also and above all owes to the three men in her life. First there is Jérôme Dédina, her musician companion with whom she has been in a relationship since 1995. “We met when I was presenting Chalu Maureen on France 2 and we never left each other. We will celebrate our twenty-two years of love on April 1st. Not bad is not it ?“, she rejoiced in 2017 for Gala. Together, Maureen Dor and Jérôme Dédina had two children: Gaspard (born in 2001) and Léonard (born in 2003).
