Matthieu Delormeau lynched on Twitter after his remarks on the controversial painting “Fuck Abstraction”

The controversy is so great that the Minister of Culture was arrested and ordered to request the immediate withdrawal of this work… Since February 17, the painting “Fuck Abstraction” by the painter Miriam Cahn is exhibited within the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.

This work produced to denounce the horror of war and the excesses of soldiers who do not hesitate to abuse local residents, represents a man forcing a person, his hands tied behind his back, to perform oral sex. So many people see in this person a child being sexually assaulted, the artist assured that it is a woman: “They are not children. This painting is about how sexuality is used as a weapon of war, as a crime against humanity.” she explains in a press release from the Parisian museum.

Not enough to convince Internet users since an online petition has been created to demand the removal of the painting which, according to them, is a real apology for child pornography.

Matthieu Delormeau gives a huge rant: “It’s not pedophilia!”
This Wednesday, March 22, 2023, the case was mentioned on the set of “Touche pas à mon poste” and the columnists seemed very divided. “It’s extremely shocking and it’s a huge discomfort” chanted Gilles Verdez. Valérie Benaïm, taking the example of “Guernica” by Pablo Picasso, then reminded him that art is “made to shock, to jostle, to disturb and to make people think”.

For his part, Guillaume Genton expressed his disgust: “How can you find excuses for a work that makes you think of acts of pedophilia? I’m tired of people hiding behind the fact that it’s a work and that it denounces war or injustice, it’s disgusting, it’s uncomfortable!”.

Furious, Matthieu Delormeau then replied to him: “Except under Hitler or Stalin where we decided what was a work or not, and the books that had to be burned or not, a work is a work! If you didn’t understand, you have to rework your classes a bit or go back to school. It’s not pedophilia! She denounces the horrors of war and you don’t understand a thing!”.

A position that earned the columnist to be strongly attacked on Twitter since viewers sided with Guillaume Genton.
