MLS has suspended CF Montreal midfielder Matko Milijevic for one game for simulation.
Milijevic was also fined the amount of which has not been disclosed for his gesture which occurred during the 87th minute of the match between CF Montreal and the New England Revolution last Saturday.
The action was reviewed using the 3rd parameter of the MLS Disciplinary Committee, which is when officials see an incident and do not sanction it with a red card or act as if it was a clear and clean simulation case that meets the suspension conditions.
The Committee may review the action for further disciplinary action beyond the statutory suspension and fine.
Miljevic will serve his suspension in CF Montreal’s next game on August 27 against the Fire in Chicago.
