Mathieu Sapin in the footsteps of Tomi Ungerer

Mathieu Sapin discovered a passion for illustration at a very young age. He entered the Superior School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg to study it. Since 1996, he has been drawing comics for young people (Akissi with Marguerite Abouet or Space sardine with Sfar and Guibert) or for adults (supermurgeman, The Jungle Diary).

He is also the author of observation comics such as Presidential campaign Where The castle where the designer stages himself as a privileged spectator of François Hollande’s campaign in 2012 and then of his mandate at the Élysée.

By adapting No kiss for mom in comics, Mathieu Sapin revisits a classic from Tomi Ungerer’s bibliography, and pays homage to one of the works that most marked his childhood and guided his career.

Dedication in Strasbourg at the Kléber bookstore on Saturday October 15, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
