Masters Tournament | Tiger Woods in Augusta to continue his preparation

Golf fans woke up Sunday morning to news of their idol. For the first time since the rumor machine started, Tiger Woods gave the truth, a few days before the start of the Masters Tournament.

Mute as a mole as to whether he was going to play the 86 or notand edition of the tournament, the five-time green jacket champion spoke via his Twitter account:

“I will be heading to Augusta today with the aim of continuing my preparation. It will be a last minute decision whether I will play or not. […] “.

The golf world is eagerly awaiting the Tiger’s decision. He has not played in a competitive PGA tournament since his horrific accident on February 23, 2021.

Tiger Woods was involved in an accident near Los Angeles in February 2021.

Because of this incident, he had to undergo major operations on his right leg. Doctors even considered amputating his leg at one point. Now, only 13 months later, he could surprise the world of golf.

Woods moved everyone when he last won the Augusta National in 2019.

In her tweet, Woods also took the opportunity to congratulate 16-year-old golfer Anna Davis who won the Augusta National Women’s Amateur Championship on Saturday. He also wished good luck to the children who were going to take part in the Drive, Chip and Putt contest.
