Masters of Paris | Another title for Novak Djokovic

(Paris) Novak Djokovic came from behind to defeat Daniil Medvedev 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the final of the Paris Tennis Masters on Sunday, clinching his 37e Series title Masters in career – a record.

Djokovic defeated Medvedev, the tournament’s second seed, after a two-hour and 15-minute duel at this indoor tournament. At the same time, the Serbian increased his career record to 6-4 against Medvedev.

He also signed his 48e victory this season, breaking the tie with Spain’s Rafael Nadal for the most career Masters series titles.

In addition, it was the first Parisian final between the top two players in the ATP world rankings since that between Stefan Edberg and Boris Becker in 1990.

The day before, “Djoko” had made sure to finish first in the world rankings for the seventh year in a row after getting his ticket to the final.

Djokovic and Medvedev, who surprised the Serbian in the U.S. Open final in September, will now head to Turin to take part in the ATP Finals from November 14-21.
