It is the first time in four weeks that Auger-Alaissime will not play on Sunday. His stellar run came to an end with a straight-set 6-4, 6-2 loss to a strong Holger Rune.

On the other hand, the favorite showed several signs of fatigue during the meeting. After all, he’s played virtually every day since the beginning of October.

Rune and Auger-Aliassime had clashed in Basel, barely a week ago and Auger-Aliassime had made short work of the Dane.

Saturday, Rune had the eye of the tiger and he was on a mission. He played an almost perfect match, in which he led the majority of rallies, in addition to having all the answers to the FAA attacks.

Nevertheless, even though the season is drawing to a close, we will see Félix Auger-Alaissime back on the court shortly, as he qualified earlier this week for the ATP Finals, played in Italy next week.

More details will follow.
