“Master K” risks 12 years in prison | “I fear for all the women who cross his path”

Justine* wanted to commit suicide in April 2021. Fortunately, she changed her mind when her tormentor, Koceila Louali, was finally arrested that month. Women, sometimes broken, but full of courage, testified on Friday to share their experiences about the heinous crimes of “Master K”, who risks 12 years in penitentiary.

“It’s a completion today. But I have so many psychological and physical consequences. I am not sure that I will be able to return to a normal life,” Justine told the court. In the crowded courtroom of the Montreal courthouse, tears flowed down everyone’s cheeks. Koceila Louali was unfazed by this distress.

“He is dangerous and he finds ways to take advantage of women to his advantage. He is a misogynist and for him, women are not an equal. We are made to be used. I am afraid for all the women who will cross his path,” shared Zoé*, another victim.

Zoé wanted to speak out to defend the place of sex workers, too often “dehumanized” by society, in her opinion. “I am hurt by the stigma of society. We feel that we do not have access to justice,” she said, while praising the investigators in the case.

“I had become a commodity. Koceila Louali is an excellent manipulator,” testified Lucie*, who suffered from depression and anxiety.

The pimp and pedophile Koceila Louali shattered the lives of many women. It is also thanks to the courage of 21 women, who denounced him on the web, that this predator stopped operating. He pleaded guilty last August to numerous charges.

For years, “Master K” reigned over a dark side of the sex industry. His story is worthy of a thriller or a Hollywood film. Having become practically blind, he put an end to his career as a researcher at Radio-Canada in the 2000s to found two sexual services agencies.

His first agency, the private libertine club Le Rubicon, specialized in “gang bangs”. Koceila Louali organized about three per week. Some large “Roman” orgies hosted up to 150 men. A handful of women were thrown out into the open. Often, they were unaware of the scale of the event.

His second agency, “Carte Blanche”, specialized in “tailor-made fantasies”, leading to extreme sexual practices, some of which very few sex workers agree to do. We learned during the release investigation that Louali subjected women to extremely degrading sexual practices.

Koceila Louali went further in his perversion: he made sexual gestures towards a 7-year-old girl, delivered by her mother – and sentenced to 6 years in prison. In a consensual relationship of domination, Koceila Louali treated the mother like a slave, all in front of the child.

The lawyers presented a joint suggestion of 12 years in the penitentiary. However, the parties are still debating the issue of time spent in preventive detention. A hearing is scheduled for the end of December on this subject.
