Massive immigration: impossible to debate without being insulted

The file of Log about the future demographic submersion of Quebecers under the weight of massive immigration is remarkable. However, it arouses panic among supporters of mass immigration.

Let’s review the main facts before seeing how certain minds of bad faith seek to discredit him.

Fact 1. The Initiative of the Century, a lobby of Canada’s elite, advocates for a Canada of 100 million people by the end of the century. It is a documented fact.

Immigration

Fact 2. Ottawa has generally endorsed this plan, in particular by already increasing its immigration thresholds to 500,000 per year.

Fact 3. This demographic revolution will inevitably lead to the submersion of Francophones. All the francization policies in the world will do nothing against this demographic pressure.

But proponents of mass immigration seek to discredit the investigation. Their method? Associate this investigation with the “great replacement theory”. That’s all they know how to say. This is the new Godwin point. They draw this formula automatically to prevent any serious reflection on massive immigration.

Except that almost no one claims this “theory” in Quebec.

I would add that since the middle of the 19th century, French Canadians have been concerned about the effects of mass immigration on their existence. Were they already hypnotized by this “theory”? This foolish accusation by radical activists functions to shut down debate.

bad faith

Final question: if a society receives more immigrants than it can integrate and if this movement continues over several decades, does this society not risk seeing its identity weakened and put in the minority? Is this not even more the case for a small nation like ours in North America?

Rather than screaming at the “great replacement theory”, would it be possible to respond to the arguments put forward? With arguments and facts, without brandishing a scarecrow?
