massive highway code fraud

A motorcyclist claims to have bought his highway code illegally, paying 250 euros for it and without taking a test. After exchanging information on social networks and paying in cash, he received the official document by email. He says he bought it by “I can’t be bothered to revise”His driving having been validated by an official instructor, he considers that he is not driving “really illegally”.

Nassim Bouzid, an instructor at the ECF Faidherbe driving school, says he is encountering more and more students who cheat. “If we drive without knowing the rules, what are we doing on the road?”he wonders. Candidates often obtain their certificate via social networks. Dozens of ads offer highway codes, from 150 euros to 900 euros. One seller asks for an identity card and 250 euros. He says he has contacts at the prefecture and in approved driving schools. Private centers, authorized to administer the exam since 2016, are also accomplices in this network. Since January 2024, 54 examination centers have closed due to suspicion of fraud.
