The Lviv region hard hit by Russian strikes. According to the press release from the governor of the region (western Ukraine), three houses in a residential area were hit early in the morning of Thursday, March 9. Four dead civilians were found in the rubble, causing a painful awakening for the population, far from the front line.

The capital kyiv was also targeted with a thermal power plant which was hit. 40% of the inhabitants are deprived of heating and 15% of homes no longer have electricity. Another strike directly hit a neighborhood of buildings, setting fire to several cars and injuring at least two. On the spot, the inhabitants plunge back into anguish. “I was outside at six in the morning, I saw a missile in the sky and there were two explosions. I saw the craft flying towards my house and by the time I arrived, the building was on fire”, testifies one of them. In total, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine suffered 81 rocket attacks and four drone attacks. Kharkiv, Odessa, Kherson and Zaporizhia were also affected.
