This Monday, February 28, 2022, the press had an appointment in the TF1 tower for a major event. The first channel gave the press conference for its hit show Mask Singer, to present the new season. An edition that once again promises to be grandiose.
It was last summer Mask Singer 2022 was turned. Camille Combal is still in charge and he is pleased to once again share this great experience with investigators Kev Adams, Alessandra Sublet, Jarry, Anggun. And as usual, the production has put the small dishes in the big ones in order to surprise the viewers even more. Starting with the 12 costumes which, in addition to being just as beautiful as ever, are upgradable this year. The public will have the pleasure of discovering a banana, a pig, a chameleon, a deer, a tigress, a tree, a hermit crab, a crocodile, a cosmonaut, a butterfly, a ladybug and a diamond cowboy. And over the episodes, some characters will see their suit changing, like the tree which will represent different seasons.
Among the personalities, we will find for the first time not one but two international stars. In the credits, it is specified that one of the candidates has won a Golden Globe, another a Grammy, that there are one or more Olympic champions or movie stars. “We constantly try to surprise. We gave ourselves as a guideline to have one event per evening. (…) During the launch, we discover all the costumes and afterwards, something must happen with each show“, added the programming director of TF1 Rémi Faure, while specifying that season 4 was already in preparation. Anthony Meunier, the producer of Mask Singer for his part confided that guest investigators will come for an evening. These personalities in question will first perform with a costume. After Kev Adams, Alessandra Sublet, Jarry and Anggun have found out who it was, they can come to their side to try to unmask the candidates.
“We enjoyed ourselves. (…) There are plenty of novelties this season, there is really something to have fun with, whether in the costumes, in the cast which is surprising. There are surprising names and there are some we didn’t expect to see them do the show like that on stage“, said Camille Combal. Purepeople was able to see the first images and, indeed, the level is high whether it is in terms of singing or performances. And this year, it’s better to keep an eye out even more because clues will be hidden during the shows in particular. So there will also be a new way of investigating for the public and investigators.
For the first time there will be “golden ear” for example. “Following the presentation of the characters, the four investigators and Camille Combal must put in an envelope their first intuition. It’s only on the first performance. (…) We will also have clues on the passports of celebrities, on the links they have with the investigators so that everyone has fun but also that it provokes questioning “, confided the producer Anthony Meunier. For the first time also, the interviewers can go down on the set and they choose a word that a celebrity will say, with their real voice.
