Mas des Capitelles La Catiède Faugères 2021 | Freshness and minerality

A family estate of 24 hectares, the Mas des Capitelles continues to offer us local wines with excellent value for money.

The vines flourish in the magnificent hills of Faugères, on schist soils covered with scrubland and swept by the northern winds. We feel in the wines the grapes bursting with sunshine, but also a lot of freshness and an undeniable minerality.

La Catiède is a blend of Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The nose reveals intense notes of blackberry liqueur and blackcurrant, with a hint of garrigue and spices. The palate is rich and suave, with very ripe fruit, but without any heaviness. The wine is powerful, yet super balanced, with sparkle and vitality. Moderate, fine tannins crumble on the finish.

Braised meats, duck confit, cassoulet, roasted root vegetables.
