Mary and Marie of Denmark: the assorted princesses, gala evening at the palace

The Danish royal family were in their thirties Tuesday night! On October 26, 2021, at the Fredensborg Palace, the gala dinner was held for representatives of the Danish film industry. For this evening, Queen Margrethe II was not only able to count on her heir, Prince Frederik, and his wife Princess Mary, but also on her other son Prince Joachim, who came from France.

Dressed in her gray linen jumpsuit signed Max Mara, Princess Mary made a remarkable arrival at the palace, on the arm of Prince Frederik. Equally elegant in his tuxedo, the latter had the pleasure of meeting his younger brother Prince Joachim and his wife Princess Marie on site. The two sisters-in-law spread the word since she also left the evening dresses aside to bet on a black pantsuit set, accessorized with sequined pumps.

For her part, Margrethe II appeared in good form in her green dress. It must be said that the 81-year-old queen enjoyed dinner in the company of an attractive actor: the Danish Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, known for having played the character of Jamie Lannister in the successful series Game Of Thrones (see slideshow).

Family reunions with the queen and her two sons have become rarer since Joachim and his wife Marie left to live in Paris two years ago. The Danish prince settled there for elite training, before becoming the new defense attaché at the Danish embassy. A new life in France – all the same marked by a frightening stroke – which he shares with his wife Marie – born in Paris – and their two young children: Prince Henrik and Princess Athena (12 and 9 years old). Recently, he can also find his eldest son the charming Prince Nikolai (22 years old), who came to continue his studies there with his girlfriend Benedikte.
