After his series The beautiful discomfortscomedian Martin Matte is renewing his collaboration with Groupe TVA: from the fall of 2023, he will host a weekly talk-show type program there, Groupe TVA announced in a press release.
The series of ten 60-minute programs will be broadcast live from Espace Saint-Denis, in the Latin Quarter. The TVA Group did not specify the time slot or the name of the show, but promises distinguished guests, collaborators, live sketches, fiction and a musical band. Martin Matte will seek to “untie the tongues of wood and will be interested in everything that is happening in the world”.
Denis Dubois, vice-president of original content at Quebecor Content, indicated that the tone of this new program will be “most of the time ironic, like its host and co-producer”, which, according to him, will allow “to go into all areas”.
The show is produced by Encore Television (which also produced The beautiful discomforts) in collaboration with Quebecor Content.
