The results of the election of the vice-presidents of the National Assembly “correspond to a kind of tacit agreement that we find between the two extremes of the National Assembly”denounced Martin Garagnon, spokesperson for Ensemble pour la République, on franceinfo on Friday July 19, after the election of the vice-presidents of the National Assembly.

The six vice-presidents are therefore Clémence Guetté and Nadège Abomangoli (La France insoumise), Naïma Moutchou (Horizons), Xavier Breton (La Droite républicaine), elected in the first round, Annie Genevard (La Droite républicaine), and Roland Lescure (Ensemble pour la République), elected in the second round.

These results correspond “to the ballot papers of the National Rally deputies which they have widely distributed, calling for, on their ballot paper, to indicate the name of two LFI deputies including Mrs. Guetté”specifies Martin Garagnon. The Macronist deputy points out “a tacit agreement which is also found in the speeches of these two extremes”.

The RN “had cried out about the theft of democracy after the second round of elections” legislative elections, and since Thursday evening, “The New Popular Front, therefore the left, is crying foul and the theft of the election” of the election of Yaël Braun-Pivet to the presidency of the National Assembly, explains the elected member of Ensemble pour la République. “We find the same line of conduct with a discourse that is becoming more Trump-like on both sides, which only has the consequence of brutalizing our institutions and weakening democracy and its institutions.”adds Martin Garagnon.
