Martha DUENAS or when the body expresses ailments

It all started in the 1970s, when Martha’s parents decided to flee the violence in the countryside to take refuge in the city, in Bogota. They settle in what is called the Barrio, the equivalent of favelas in Brazil. No water, no electricity, but mutual aid and happy memories.

Positive waves …

Within the Barrio, a sound resounds that will rock the first part of his life: that of the radio that women listen to while carrying out their daily tasks.

She tells us about everyday life in this neighborhood but also in a city such as Bogota. Megalopolis of more than seven million inhabitants. It is difficult for us Europeans to imagine the tumult that this represents.

The impossible no one is bound

The danger, the difficulty, the time required to cross Bogota did not stop Martha when, as a young adult, she discovered contemporary dance. She knows, that’s what she wants to do. Is it an elitist art? She was not born in a favorable social environment to practice this passion? Regardless, she is throwing headlong into it.

So, a few years later, by dint of will, it was dancing that enabled him to leave Bogota.

Direction France

At 27, she moved to Paris to perfect and continue her training as a dancer. Living in Paris is difficult but she never gives up. She does more odd jobs to be able to continue studying. And then, one day, studious, she works in the library and there crosses the path of a Limougeaud.

Do we need to tell you the rest? They lived happily ever after and had a little Limougeaud, Gabriel.
