This is one of the hottest couples in recent months. Marion Rousse and Julian Alaphilippe string together good news and strong emotions and they do not seem to want to come down from their little cloud. While the 29-year-old cyclist has just been crowned world champion on the road for the second time in a row a few weeks ago, the beautiful 30-year-old blonde has been appointed director of the Women’s Tour de France. A magnificent success which is accompanied by the birth of little Nino last June.
Guests of Michel Drucker on the set of Roll on Sunday, the two lovebirds took the opportunity to make some confidences on their life together and in particular on the circumstances of their first meeting. Both have been immersed in the world of cycling since their childhood, it seemed normal that everything started from there for Julian and Marion, which she confirmed in the show broadcast yesterday. “In fact we have known each other for many years because we were in the France team together, when we were 17 or 18 years old”, she reveals.
A meeting that goes back more than 10 years therefore for Nino’s parents, who waited a few years before forming a couple. French road cycling champion in 2012, Marion Rousse was a great French hope for a long time before moving on to other activities, but always linked to her favorite sport. “We met and we saw each other regularly”, she says before her companion interrupts her to give him a nice compliment: “I have never been champion of France, so she has a good track record anyway”.
