Marine Le Pen’s niece has decided. Marion Maréchal, now vice-president of Reconquest! after rallying Eric Zemmour during the presidential election, announced on Tuesday May 17 his departure from the management of the Institute of social, economic and political sciences (Issep). The former FN deputy for Vaucluse had launched this school of political science in September 2018 in Lyon, but she judged that her functions as director of the establishment were no longer compatible with her new political activities.

“Today, I have a political activity with Reconquête! and I am very attached to the independence of the school, to its non-partisan dimension, to the fact that it is an exclusively educational project. So to preserve this independence, this separation, I have decided to give up my position as general manager”said Marion Maréchal on his Twitter account.

Marion Maréchal will still retain a role within the school. She will now lead the school’s professional network center and the general management of Issep will be provided by her former deputy, Thibaut Monnier, also co-founder of the school, who opened a branch in Madrid in 2021.
