Marine Tondelier is waiting “a clarification” from Emmanuel Macron. After the results of the legislative elections where the left came out on top, the national secretary of the Ecologists-EELV considered, Monday July 8, in “L’Evenement” on France 2 that “institutional logic would have dictated” to the President of the Republic “to pick up the phone and call the party leaders of the New Popular Front to ask them for the name of a Prime Minister”. “He didn’t do it today to my knowledge. That’s a mistake for me,” she added.

“We are not going to remain like this in a form of indecision”continued Marine Tondelier. Prime Minister Gabriel Attal handed over his resignation to Emmanuel Macron, but the latter asked him to stay “for the moment, in order to ensure the stability of the country” as France is due to host the Paris Games from July 26. On Sunday evening, the Elysée Palace affirmed that Emmanuel Macron“will wait[it] the structuring of the new National Assembly to take the necessary decisions.”
