No more retirement at age 60 for all that Marine Le Pen has proposed so far: the candidate for the presidential election of the National Rally announced at her campaign headquarters on Thursday February 16 that she intended to create a progressive system which takes into account the age of entry into working life.

Marine Le Pen wants to put an end to the complex calculations related to hardship, to set a principle: “Working earlier means working harder and therefore retiring earlier, says the presidential candidate. Anyone who enters professional life between the ages of 17 and 20 will be able to benefit from a full rate from the age of 60 with 40 annuities, a considerable gain compared to the current situation of more than two years of work.

For those who start between 20 and 24, the number of years of contribution will gradually increase and no one will contribute more than 42, promises Marine Le Pen. The candidate corrects her project, in the name of realism: “This is a realistic reform in budgetary terms: Emmanuel Macron left us a legacy of 600 billion euros in additional debt.”

But Marine Le Pen insists: her reform remains the best-priced in comparison with her competitors. “Éric Zemmour, like Emmanuel Macron, when we understand what they think on this subject, propose to go to 64 years old. Valérie Pécresse at 65 years old! That is to say 44 or 45 years of annuities necessary…” However, the candidate takes great care not to compare her project to those of her competitors on the left.
