This Thursday, June 23, 2022, M6 kicks off the Best Pastry Chef: the professionals. At the controls, we will find Mary Portolano. Christelle Brua, Pierre Hermé and Cyril Lignac will have the difficult task of judging the candidates in competition. If the public will discover this beginning of an adventure this evening, another has just ended. In Instagram story, the presenter, who is currently pregnant with her second child, revealed that the filming of season 11 had just been put in a box. For the occasion, she notably unveiled a rare photo of her 7-year-old son.
Marie Portolano does not talk as easily about her private life as about pastry or sports. The former columnist Channel Football Club (Canal +) indeed prefers to remain discreet on the subject. But from time to time, she makes small exceptions. Like this Thursday, June 23, 2023 where she published a photo that did not go unnoticed. The 36-year-old first announced that the filming of the new season of the Best Pastry Chef had just ended. “With extraordinary pastry chefs that I can’t wait to introduce to you“, she wrote in the caption of a photo with candidates, whose faces are hidden. She also shared a snapshot in which she appears alongside the jurors Cyril Lignac and Mercotte to shout her love to them.
Finally, the wife of Grégoire Ludig has published a photo in which she appears sitting on a chair, on the location of the filming of the cooking show of M6. On her knees is her son James (born from a previous relationship) whom she looks at and hugs tenderly. Of course, the face of the little boy is hidden by an emoji representing a sun so that his identity is not revealed. A post that has, for sure, delighted his community.
Asked about her role as a mother by Télé Loisirs in June 2021Marie Portolano confided: “I am a pretty cool mom but very strict about her education. I am proud when people tell me that he is very well brought up. It is an important key that I offer him for his future.“
If in the photo with her son, her round belly is well hidden, viewers will have the pleasure of discovering it in the next season of the Best Pastry Chef. Asked by The Parisian recently, however, she did not want to talk about her future happiness with Grégoire Ludig, whom she married in June 2019.
