MP Marie Montpetit will have to leave the Liberal caucus on pain of being expelled.
According to the information obtained, allegations relating to Ms. Montpetit’s behavior with her political employees motivate this request.
The director of communications of the liberal parliamentary wing, Jérémy Ghio, affirmed that this decision was announced to Ms. Montpetit by the chairman of the caucus, Pierre Arcand.
Liberal leader Dominique Anglade first removed Ms. Montpetit from her health spokesperson duties on Saturday. This decision was taken following his public statements against his colleague Gaétan Barrette. Mr. Barrette also lost his duties as spokesperson for the Treasury Board file on Saturday.
