Marie, Michel Drucker’s niece, talks about her “radical weaning” in an interview like no other…

This Thursday, February 10, 2022, Elle magazine took a close interest in Marie Drucker. During an interview, the 47-year-old young woman had the opportunity to look back on her years at France Télévisions and in particular on her departure from the JT de France 2 after 8 years of good and loyal service. Exit her career as a journalist, Marie Drucker is now embarking on new adventures. On February 16, Jean’s mother will also star in the film “Another world” directed by Stéphane Briszé. The niece of the famous animator Michel Drucker will thus have the chance to give the answer to talented actors. Namely, Vincent Lindon and Sandrine Kiberlain.

A project that seems to change his life. Despite his experience in front of the cameras, the cinematographic universe is indeed very different. “On TV, we know how we are filmed, styled, made up, lit, we have the hand. There, it’s the opposite, we don’t have a say, we give up”, explained the pretty brunette. If the daughter of Jean Drucker is now an actress, she does not forget her old job. “I gave everything to this job, which gave it back to me, but six years ago, I had a realization: the job had changed, I found myself less in the rhythm, the competition, the superficiality of a world where everything is going very fast. I felt like I was frustrated, not learning anymore. […] I didn’t want to hear: ‘But you’re crazy, you make a good living, you show up at 8 p.m.! »she confided to our colleagues.

In 2016, she therefore decided to create her own production company in order to highlight the production of documentaries and fiction programs. During this transition period, Marie Drucker opted for a “radical withdrawal” some information. “I haven’t looked at a newspaper or listened to the radio for almost four years. I knew the tricks too well. I wanted to change time. To no longer be dependent on this form of tyranny”.
